apply for food stamps
Food service and food stamp application services are available to walks-in and by appointment Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at both the Brookside and Community Corner Food Centers. The food stamp application process is open to everyone, without geographic boundaries.
If you are applying for food stamps, please come prepared with the following items:
- Photo ID
- Resident card if not a US citizen
- Address verification
- ID for all in family
- Social security numbers for all family members
- Verification of monthly income
- Child support of children not in household
- Housing, utility and medical costs for those with disabilities or for those over 60 years old (including prescriptions)
- Case number if others are receiving public assistance
- Proof of health insurance
- Proof of ownership of any vehicles
